Tips for Writing Class XII Maths Paper

Tips for Writing Class XII Maths Paper.

The first thing is time distribution.

It is essential so that you can not only finish your paper in time, but also have enough time to revise. The paper is divided in three sections. This is the ideal time distribution:- Section A 25-30mins Section B 1hour Section C 1hour So you are left with 30 mins, which is good enough for revision. For achieving this, you should write fast and accurately from the first question onwards and keep checking the time to see if you are on time or not. Certainly, this is very difficult to achieve .But it can be done if you have practised a lot .And the preboards will also provide good practice for this.

Now, the second thing is how to use the 15 mins extra reading time.

To make use of the reading time effectively, do the following things:- 1 First, try to read those questions which have choices and tick the most appropriate question which you will attempt . 2 Second, underline the important things in the L.P. question like constraints, whether to maximize or minimize etc. 3 If you are left with more time, then try to read the rest of the questions and mark those questions which you think you don't know. Remember one thing, if you are stuck with one question don't waste time on it, leave some space and start doing the next question.

Finally, the order of writing the paper.

The best way is to start attempting from the back as initially your mind is fresh and you will commit less mistakes .But don't attempt the paper in the reverse order(i.e. 30 to 27) as there is a chance of writing the question nos wrong and you may end up losing marks even if you have written the right answer. So to avoid it, start from beginning of the section C and then go down to last question and then start from section B and so on.
