IBPS Eligibility Criteria for 2012 - The Eligibility or qualifying criteria of all Banks may be
different predetermined. The candidate appearing for the examination must be
eligible for jobs they offered.

The following eligibility criteria that are specified below
are basically followed by different Public Sector Banks. Approaching candidate
should ensure that he/she must fulfill the relevant eligibility criteria before
approaching to Common Written Examination (CWE)
Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

DEFINITION OF PERSONS
WITH DISABILITIES
Only such
persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of
relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board appointed by the
Central/State Govt. Applicants claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in
support of their claim at the time of Interview conducted by a particular Bank,
if called by the Bank.
