IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2012 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting the CWE (common written Exam), which is the written exam of objective type but for the several categories called Regional Rural Bank (RRB) Test. Eligibility Criteria:-


Age limit - The candidate must be above than the 18 years of age. The most banks follows the same eligibility criteria, some of banks may have changed procedure of their own as per requirement.


  • For Assistant - The candidate minimum age limit is 18 yrs and maximum age limit is 28yrs.
  • For Scale-I Officers - The candidate applying to this post must having more than the age of 18 yrs and must be less than the age of 28 yrs.
  • For Scale-II Officers - The candidate applying to this Scale posts must be greater than 21 yrs of age and not be above to the 32 yrs of age limit.
  • For Scale-II Officers - The aspirants must be below 40 yrs as age limit.
  • For PO - The minimum age limit is 20 yrs and maximum age limit is 30yrs

Age Relaxation -
  • SC/ST: 5years
  • BC: 3years
  • PWD: 10years
  • EX-SERVICE MAN: 5years
  • Widows, Divorced Women, Women legally separated :  9 years
    Subject to max 
    age limit of:
    OBC - 38 years
    SC/ ST - 40 yrs
  • Domiciled in J & K :  5 years
  • Victims of 1984 riots :  5 years

Education Qualification - Any Graduation Degree from a Government recognized Institution or equivalent. The candidate having the proficiency in local language are preferred for some posts in the IBPS CWE of Regional Rural Banks.

Percentage: Just cleared in academic
